I downloaded both the Map My Walk and Nike+ apps to my android phone.

I did the same exact walk yesterday using MMW, as I did today using Nike. My height/weight are set properly in each program. Weather conditions are the same yesterday and today. Wearing the same clothes. Ate the same breakfast. Walked at the same time.

My results:

6/25/14 using MMW
Time: 37:54
Distance: 2.08 miles
Calories burned 464

6/26/14 using Nike+
Time: 33:25
Distance 1.84 miles
Calories burned 295

So...which do YOU think is more accurate?

I'm not very familiar with Nike+ , but I have used MMW in conjunction with my heart rate monitor. I trust MMW for distance, but the calorie burn on my MMW is always at least 50% more than what my heart rate monitor says. If I was you I'd go with the lower number.

Thank you. I think that the MMW was rather high for calorie burn too.
