So I work for a couple of DB's

Micro managers, stick up thier *kitten*, egocentristic, narcasistic, manilpulating TARDS

Im worndering what is you opinon of your boss and if its just a boss thing.

So lets say rate 1-10

    8....Although he HOVERS a lot and sometimes gives direction as if I'm making him a sandwich, he is otherwise a nice guy that acknowledges my hard work.

    1 on a bad day... like when he rakes us all over the coals on the middle of a trade show floor...
    9 when he gives me a $6000 / year raise cause I'm good. mostly a 7 I'd say, although he did say I'm a genius. So, maaaaaayyyyyybe a 7.5

    My boss is a 10+ she is pure awesomeness and makes my job a joy to come to! She treats me to Starbucks Black Tea at least twice a week and gave me a bomb eval right before school was over for summer AND she asked me to come back this fall (I was a first year EA) I wouldn't change a thing about her :)

    Supervisor I have now is probably the best I've ever had!!!! His boss though is a nice guy but over his head and as my boss says all the time "**** rolls down hill!" :(

    He has poor people skills, micromanages, places blame when there is none to blame, wants prompt responses and information when it is low priority and does not follow up in the same manner himself, tends to operate on a "need to know" basis and rarely gives you the information that you need.

    He also wrote me up a few months ago for something that happened 5 years ago when I was still learning my job.

    As a person... he's great... as a business owner... he sucks. Makes bad choices, no organization, can't delegate worth a damn... so I'd say overall a 6 because many days he makes my life a living hell.

    ^^^^^^^ Alll that and id rate my direct supervisor a 9 but the boss and boss above him and so on, a 2 MAYBE

    And what a DB for writting you up while you were still learning.

    I rate him a -3. He loses five points for preventing regular penetration.

    My boss is an 8.5. She is very intense and I sometimes want to run into a wall after sitting in front of her all day, but she regularly takes me craft beer tasting and is extremely entertaining. She also gets things done.

    UGH! Same! He is SUPER prejudice and everyone who meets him can tell. He's majorly sexist and is convinced no one knows how to do their jobs, even when he ASKS US how to do what we are working on. Like he acts super high and mighty then doesn't understand the easiest piece of the job.

    When you get in trouble (because you WILL.. there is no saving you), he acts like you are the biggest fool EVER.

    Luckily, the manager right behind him is about an 8 (everyone has their days). However, we are losing him to another store.. SO! Back to dealing with the 2

    10 - My supervisor is the best boss I've ever had. She's so down to earth, just awesome.

    my old boss was a 9 but then my company layed her off and hired a "part time" supervisor. She complains about working more than 8 hours a week and can't seem to get anything done or give an answer for anything. I give her a 2.

    but he is obviously smarter as he has the job.

    I'm destined for better things in the future than my current job, its just paying for my dreams to come true,

    I've had the same boss for 11 years and while she has faults they are nothing compared to others that I hear about around my work.

    10 - good boss, the best I have had so far.
    Off the subject - he lost about 30 lbs in past year and now is addicted to coca cola zero. It hurts me seeing him drink this much of coke. But he likes it because it is the only sweet thing he is consuming (stopped with fruits a while ago, but I don't know why).
