hey ya'll. i'm new here.
my best friend started a program and i am *so* inspired by her progress. seeing her change, not just her body, but mentally and spiritually too made me really look at myself and see my gluttony and sloth fueled behaviors.
she has taken on the challenge to participate in the warrior dash in may and i have made a commitment, to her AND myself to join her in this journey and start my own training program.
i'm starting slow, i've tried to get myself on a regimen before but i always do too much too fast and burn myself out. so i started with the myfitnesspal app on android and i am totally addicted to it!! it makes it so much easier than trying to do all the work of keeping a pen and paper diary and trying to do all the math and nutrition calculations myself. so yay!
so yea, anyone else who has started a training program... i'd LOVE to get some advice. So far i'm just walking as fast and determined as i can every opportunity i can. I recently quit smoking, so that leaves about 15 minutes of my lunch break free to take a walk, and that has quickly become a huge stress blaster for me. i'm going to try out a yoga dvd today that has been on my self for months, but any other at home/ out side exercise tips i could definitely use!
so that's enough out of me! i'm really excited to be here and get involved!
love!
