Thinking of buying these.. As i have a cross trainer at home and thought these might help.

    Honestly? I wouldn't spend 40 quid on them. I'd scour Ebay for second hand weights. For weights to 'work' you need progressively higher weights and you're going to outgrow those pretty quickly.

    Save your money, get a second hand set of dumbbells - and then get barbells - and then get addicted to lifting LOL.

    Those are the type of weights they sell to women who want to 'tone' - it's just nonsense.

    I got 160kg of weights and a bench/rack off Ebay for just over £120.

    Personally I would say no

    I think you should go for a set that you can add weight to.

    Bought this myself and can add further discs if required so can grow with you if needed

    Agree with the above posters. I grew out of a dumbbell set like that in about 2 months. Doesn't help that the 3s were useless from the start :) Go with something like these instead:

    It's way cheaper, and takes up less room, to buy more plates to add on than to buy entirely new weights every time you want to bump up.
