Lose weight after recovery

Hello everybody , I just created an account on MFP because I figured out I have to make a change to be healthy.I'm a girl , 5'7 , and I used to weigh 170 pounds.I decided to lose weight , and started eating very very little.I started off with 1000 calories a day , and the number kept getting lower and lower everyday.I became obsessed with calories , all I was thinking about was how fat I felt and looked.I've lost 35 pounds ( I'm now 135 pounds , medium frame ) but I've also became tired , both mentally from hating what I saw in the mirror and physically , from not eating enough.I am recovering , but I'm still struggling with anemia ( from not eating enough iron ) . I am now determined to get down to 125 pounds ( my ultimate goal weight ) THE HEALTHY WAY.The reason of this topic is because I need help from you guys MFP is telling me to eat 1240 calories a day , but I think that is not enough. How much should I eat ? And how do I motivate myself to eat more HEALTHY , and not LOW-CALORIE ( on some days I would only eat 500 calories a day , and all I would eat is oatmeal , just because it is low calorie and filling , instead of trying to eat a variety of foods to get all the nutrients I need ! ) How can I treat my anemia ( from iron-deficiency ) , eat enough food and still have a calorie deficit to lose weight ?Thanks in advance

Did you choose to lose 2lbs per week? That amount is usually only for people with a lot to lose. Since you're almost at your goal 0.5lbs per week should be more realistic for you.
Here are some useful posts that answer common questions that should help you get started:

If you feel you need more calories than it says you should have, try adjusting the lifestyle to more active or very active, and/or increase the days and times of workouts. It will come up with a higher number of goal calories. If you rig it that way, you can use this to calculate calories per day, but it won't be accurate as far as it calculates how many pounds you will lose per week and the total weight you will lose over the course of two months. You'll have to remember every day what exercise numbers you're supposed to put down.
Everybody is different. Maybe try another website if this one doesn't work out for you. I just started today, so I don't really know, I'm mostly interested in making sure I eat properly, eat good foods and stay away from stuff I knew isn't healthy. I haven't felt well the last few year and my health habits really took a hit.0
