weight loss tablets

I was wondering, with a reduced calorie intake and exercise would weight loss tablets work? I have Adios slimming tablets, and I'm wondering if I should take them. Will they make any difference? they claim to help speed up weight loss.

To be honest aside from slimming pills prescribed by your GP nothing over the counter is really worth it. Just maintain a deficit and exercise the weight will go.

Would there be any fat people in the world if they did? It's snake oil.

I am very weary of any sort of magical weight loss pill. If they really worked, everyone would take them. They can be dangerous -- some are basically like speed, and they can lead to cardiac problems. In addition, to me, the whole idea is scary -- first off, it's unlikely they'll work, but scarier is what if they do? What are they doing to your body to make it suddenly shed a lot of weight?

I'd stick with the basic formula of increasing movement to burn calories, resulting in using more calories than you take in.

See I know they dont work if you dont exercise and eat at a deficite, what I am asking is if I did that and took a slimming pill (that seems to have good reviews) would the pill actually do anything? I'm not looking for an easy fix. and enough with the links already XD I already know how to eat properly and exercise.

No it would not the pill is a gimmick - the only weight loss pills that work are ones that are prescribed such as phentermine (& even they don't work long term if the person doesn't change their dietary habits).

Why the rush OP? Did you gain the weight overnight? It won't come off overnight either. On the plus side you will probably initially get a nice drop on the scales due to water weight.

If you start today I can bet by the end of the month you will feel better.

All you need to do to lose weight is diet and exercise. Sooooo, if they only work with diet and exercise....WHAT ARE THE PILLS FOR? Think long and hard on that one, and I'm sure you'll come to the same conclusion that the rest of us already have: They're not for anything.

They're not links to different websites, they're links to other threads here on MFP that were written by very successful members. They contain very valuable information about weight loss, overall fitness, and how to properly fuel your body. I don't think I'd be where I am right now if I hadn't had access to the information in those links.

    But okay.

You can't even remotely be serious.

I mean, all but ONE of those links start off with www.myfitnesspal.com

Sorry if you don't 'get' it.

They recommended links to threads on MyFitnessPal that contain great info and tips. Why don't you try reading them before saying they aren't worth it and unrelated.

Unless of course you're trolling, which wouldn't be surprising based on your other posts around here.
