4-Week Plateau... Feeling Low :'(

Hi there, newbie here ;) I've been religiously completing my entry every day and I weigh/measure EVERYTHING to the extent that I'm the laughing stock of my friends and family :-/

I started at 11 stone 3 ... I'm 5ft, goal weight 9 stone give or take 2/3 pounds. For the first 8 weeks I dropped 2 pounds EVERY week without fail then from the 2nd June it stopped! And one week I put on a pound :(

I have not done ANYTHING different, I am so upset.. I've hit a plateau before on every other eating plan (Slimming World, Weight Watchers etc) but only ever 1 or 2 weeks and then following those weeks without exception I drop double the weight!

Nope not this time. Please can you help/advise? I am NOT GIVING UP.

Phillipa xx

Hi! My name is Kim and my weight loss journey began two years ago. I was at my heaviest (225) and things were not good. I couldn't keep up with my kids, I was tired all the time, and my doctor told me that my cholesterol was on the rise! I decided something needed to change. I started walking, and eventually doing some weight training. I am down over 75 pounds! I feel so much better, and I love supporting and encouraging people to do the same. I would be happy to be an accountability partner with you. I still have some weight to lose, so we can work at it together! Getting your nutrition under control is a big key to losing weight. I can share what has worked for me if you are interested. If you work hard, I know you can reach your goal! So what do ya say? Are you in?

4 weeks is a plateau but don't give up :) Have you recalculated your calories since you lost weight to make sure they are still accurate to lose weight? :) I had a 4 month plateau recently from jan - april then it picked back up in may. It involved me getting in more exercise and switching to cleaner eating :) Lots more veggies and protein less carbs and packaged foods! You can do this sometimes we just need to tweak little things to help us along :)

Can you open your diary, and tell us current weight so people double check your TDEE? Are you exercising? How long/how often/what kind of exercise? Any medical conditions?

Hi guys, thank you so much for your replies! Sorry I've been away :)

Can you let me know how to open my Food Diary so you can have a look at it for me??

Omg, Cerakoala, a 4 month plateau?! How did you cope with that?? To answer some questions, I have a cleaning business so I clean (vigorously.. vaccing, mopping, etc) for 5-9 hrs 5 days a week. Excercise-wise I have sciatica and although its fairly under control I can have really bad bouts so I don't run anymore or go to the gym but I walk my dog every day in between my shifts :)

I also do a lot of Pilates stretches for my back to keep mobile and to ease up after being hunched over at work all day!!!

Btw my diary weightloss is incorrect by 2 pounds as I input the wrong start weight then didnt know how to change it, doh!! Sooo I started at 11 stone 3 and I got to 10 stone 2 .... :) xx

Well, because I knew there was no turning back I knew it was only forward and I did not want to be who I was. :) I was lazy at first I just kept letting it go tracking calories but not changing things hoping it would pick back up finally I had enough and like i said did a littl research tried to switch to cleaner eating and more exercise :) You can do this girl :)
