At my worst, I hit about 300 pounds. I knew my life needed to change. I had watched my dad go through bypass surgery and lose his leg to diabetes - knowing that if he had ever taken control of his weight, he wouldn't have dealt with all of that. And somehow, I was still heading down that road.

About a year ago, I decided that things needed to change. I got my **** together and started moving in a positive direction. Here are some "before" photos.

As of yesterday, I am 79 pounds down. The green dress (below) is June 2013- a tight size 20 dress from Lane Bryant... The white jeans and polka dot shirt (below) were purchased from the regular women's section at Macy's on June 28, 2014, the jeans are a size 14 and the top an XL. I didn't even look at the plus size section and didn't think about going to a plus size store.

I'm loving the new me, learning to love and treat myself well. :)

    That's awesome, congrats~ You look great, and I bet you feel a lot better! I started at 303lb, down 72lb. I was on two blood pressure meds when I started, now down to one which I cut in half to half the dosage. Hopefully soon I'll be off it completely! Amazing how losing weight can improve your health.
