30 day shred: how long until you could do Level 2?

Hi all. I'm starting Jillian Michaels' 30 day shred today and I am definitely a beginner... I prefer doing Zumba or any dance-based aerobics workout. 20 minutes a day is the maximum I can stand for this kind of stuff, with my short attention span. I'm just wondering how long it took for you to get to level 2? was it about 15 days through or did you only get to that point after you finished the 30 days in level 1? I ask because I tend to find any excuse with this sort of thing to be easier on myself, rather than push myself where I can (like if my boobs are bouncing a little bit, then I just convince myself that must mean I'd better just do a simple jumping jack, or if I'm thirsty, then I have to stop EVERYTHING and gulp down half my water bottle rather than push through it). So a little comparison would be a good thing for me..

According to the program you're supposed to move up a level every 10 days - still only on L1 D6 here but will switch to L2 on day 11 even if I have to modify a bit. Will be more than ready for a change by then anyway.
Best of luck!!0 -
Ahh okay missed that part. I think I'll be ready for a change by then too except I'm pretty useless at push ups haha.... if I can get to the end of the 30 day challenge and be able to keep up with the pushups without having to go on my knees, I'll definitely call it a success! Good luck to you too!0

I found it hard the first time and did 30 days of level 1 xD. I tried level 2 when I was supposed to and it felt sooooo hard. The second time around I gained enough strength to do it normally with 10 days at each level!0

That is awesome, and gives me some hope!0 -
I've been doing level 1 for 2 1/2 weeks, almost every other day (except weekends). I'm definitely still in the beginner mode, like modified push ups, etc... but I think I'm going to try level 2 because I need something different mentally. If it sends me running and crying into a pit of soreness and self-loathing, I can always go back to level 1, only I will know! (well, and you, and whoever on MFP reads this!!! But Jillian won't know!)
Best of luck!0
