I prefer my face when I am heavier...

I feel a lot better about my body when I am slim but not my face. I have very high cheekbones and when I lose weight the hollows become very deep and age me. My eyes are deep set and I feel weight loss sinks them back too. My face is round too so when I lose weight for some reason my face shape looks a lot bigger and the width is emphasized. I look very odd and unhealthy in photos. However I feel more confident in my body.
Sorry I'm rambling but it is a dilemma of mine. Anyone feel similar?

I'm the same. I'm only 20 but my face used to be a lot more filled out and I used to hate my young 'chipmunk cheeks' (I've not been overweight) but now I truly miss them at times! I suppose you just have to choose between health, better body/physique and coping with a slimmer face - or a podgy belly and rounder face!0

Sort of. I have a very severe (I think) jawline and sharp cheekbones, and having a little padding over all that made me feel prettier than my face looks now. But I like my new *kitten* better than I miss my old face, so fair trade, I say. :laugh:0

My mom says the same. She complains that she looks a lot older when she's thin. I guess, since there's nothing you can do about it short of surgery, you have to decide which you prefer: heavier (with that bag of increased likelihood of medical conditions) with a face you prefer or lighter (better likelihood for better health) with a body you prefer.0

I prefer my face when I'm thinner. I have very high cheek bones, too, and I think everything looks better at my lower weight than my higher.0

This. When I look back to photos from 2 years ago when I was 90 lb lighter I look about 5-7 years younger. But I have very drastically reduced my risk of so many ailments and even some diseases. And I look better in clothing. I'll take it.0 -

You sound like me! LOL. But I actually prefer my face thinner. I don't feel like I look like me when my face is pudgey...
I've always heard that at a certain point, a woman must choose between her a** and her face - meaning, you have to keep a bit more weight on later in life in order to keep a little more fat on your face. It always makes me chuckle to think about that.0 -

Haha, yeah. I have the skeletor face and while it's attractive in its own right I feel too sharp and I don't feel youthful and pretty. It's a curse though because having a well defined bone structure kinda kids you into thinking you are slimmer than you are!0 -

Same!
I wish I could have that cute girl vibe now that I can't really have at a slender weight.I hear girls complain about their faces being too full but it is actually quite a blessing.

Same here.
I look at myself, without my cheeks and I seem tired, that's weird !0 -
I have noticed that the first place I lose weight tends to be my face and my arms. So My face looks really skinny when I'm not really that skinny. It's a bit annoying because I don't like a super skinny, sunken in face that I get sometimes and people think I'm dumb for saying I want to lose a bit of fat since the parts of my body they see (arms and face look so skinny).0

Im with ya too. I always lose weight in my face first. Not that Ive ever had a big face but I hate when it get really skinny. I look sick but still fat lol. But I just keep hoping the rest catches up to my face. And I always think when people lose weight, especially a huge amount it ages them. But I guess you cant always get what you want.0

I think you guys are just judging yourselves too much
. I've never seen a "before" where the person had better facial features than "after".

i always had a baby face when I was bigger, I was often mistaken for someone mid teens when I was in my early to 20s. Since ive lost weight ive notice im starting to look older/my age, maybe it because i have jawline, I dont have multiple chin etc, but I wouldnt change it for the world, im much happy with my body and i will take an older looking face.0
