So.. Hi... My name is Rebecca (BECS) and I have been overweight most of my life. Sometimes more than others. I was always the "fat" sister. (Last of 3 girls and 2 boys). I was always the one people said the following too... "You have beautiful skin, or great hair". Neck up compliments. I think that is a common thread in over-weight peoples stories.

So... at the end of 2010 I decided to quit my paying job and open my own business. I worked my last day in January 2011 and in Feb 2011 I got on the scale for the first time in years... I CRIED FOR DAYS. I was 178.8 lbs. The highest on recorded ever. I have no idea how long I had been that weight but I am pretty sure it was a while. Anyway I decided that day I was gonna lose the weight, open my own business and be successful in all avenues of my life. I lose some weight, opened my own business (Over 2.5 yrs old now) and by January 2013 I was still 166.6. It was after seeing an add for CROSSFIT in the free fitness magazine I decided to call up and take them up on the "free class" offer.

February 4th, 2013 I went to my first class. Fat, scared and completely out of my element. I never looked back. 17 months later I still LOVE crossfit just as much. 6 months ago I added in running and have now successfully completed 2 "5ks" and 1 "10k" in record time for ME. As well as complete 3 Half marathon distance training runs. Something I never thought I would do. And 3 weeks ago I started going back to Ballet Classes. I danced from the age of 8 to 18. So 17 years away and I think I love it even more now than I did then.

TODAY THE SCALE READ................. 128.8lbs. I HAVE OFFICIALLY LOST 50 LBS! Been quite a journey but so proud of where I finally landed and all the work that got me there! Below are pictures of me on the journey.
