Should I Watch Natural Sugar?

So I've noticed that most days I go over my sugar limit, but it's not on artificial sweeteners. I honestly just eat a lot of fruit, and the sugar content from that adds up. So I was wondering if I should even be tracking it? Should I just delete it, because it bothers me every day.

not really a big deal unless you have a medical problem you should be watching sugar for. yay fruit!0

I would be careful with eating too much fruit. Too much sugar can slow your progress. I'd track it and keep an eye on it. If you see yourself plateauing and not losing any weight you may need to cut back a bit on the fruit.0

I changed my settings to track fiber instead......make any changes you want.0 -
Not really a problem if you go over sugar. Unless you go over carbs too. It's best to try and balance the macros out. Your body can cope with moderate inconsistencies. But if you don't get a decent amount of one of the macros cos your too busy eating sugar(carbs) you will regret it.
In short balance is key but don't obsess over it.0 -
I'm over on sugar, significantly, everyday from all the fruit I eat and I've still managed to lose 25lbs.
Never heard of anyone getting fat on fruit if I'm completely honest! Well, not fresh fruit. Dried fruit has a much higher sugar content, I think that is the main thing to be aware of.0 -

Can you explain how sugar will slow progress? Particularly if the OP is already tracking carbs?0 -
No, don't stress natural sugars especially from fruit. While it is fructose it's surrounded by fiber that dramatically slow absorption.
http://www.glycemicindex.com/
This is a good site to check to see whether something you eat may increase blood sugar too much, if that is something you are concerned by. But remember it's the sugar - fiber relationship in meal and diet not individual food and there is some carry over from previous meals for fiber reducing the glycemic load (read their faq).
Added sugars are what you should be concerned with. Current recommended levels by Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition state that they should be no more than about 5% of your daily intake, usually 25-35g. This includes sugars from honey and fruit juices (since they are void of fiber).0 -
I wouldn't worry about it.
I prefer to track iron, calcium, and potassium to make sure I'm getting enough. Although, I have to be careful, because a lot of food entries are missing those numbers...
Another great site is nutritiondata.self.com. Everything you want to know about a food is there.0 -
