...because of the blackbirds that dive-bomb my head.

Run faster! That would freak me out and make me not want to run. Maybe go a different way or at different times?

I've considered changing my running route, but it seems like admitting defeat.

Naw, these little f***ers are entirely black.

Even more bummed... at least the red-winged dudes would make me feel a bit stylish.

This appears to be for crows - think it'd make any difference?

At one point in my life I was a Certified Audubon Master Birder (even less cool than it sounds). Yeah. It should work.

I suppose if I'm going to take anyone's word for it, it's you.

Catch them and bake them in a pie - you will need four and twenty tho.

I haven't tried the app, but if it works for crows it'd work for blackbirds.

Changing your route would probably be easier than fooling with your phone.

I'd run with a baseball bat. Would be fun!

And you need to watch out before they snap off your nose. They are known to do that while one is hanging out clothes in the garden.

But remember to log your bread and honey.

Yeah, wear a hat. and glue some rat poison to the top of your hat; they won't dive-bomb you again.

In Australia I've seen people cycling with zip ties attached to their helmets ( this is for the swooping Magpie problem); Perhaps you could fashion a fancy zip tie hat.
