Brief story: I have to go on a community service trip outside my hometown for five days and there won't be any weights for me to lift. Worse, it will be hard for me to control what I eat... . Currently I'm trying to build muscles, so what am I going to do?

*oops, not a "long" trip, but still.

Try push ups, lunges and squats.

Push-ups, sit-ups, dips - just to name three - are all doable in a hotel room.

Re food, just do the best you can and get back into it when you're back home and back in control.

Sometimes life gets in the way of MFP, but if it's short term no real damage will be done.

A week off won't kill you. It's called a complete deload. I took a full week off and the next week my lifts were even better.

Thanks guyss. Yeah, I guess I have no choice but do the body weight exercises. Better than nothing right? :)

Oh! Really? I thought that if we don't lift for like 2 days or more, our muscles will shrink and perhaps start over? :/ But if your experience says your lift got better, then I'm relieved hehehe. Thanks.

Look up Tabata training, pick 5 or 6 exercises, do you fine

Dips off chairs, burpees, mountain climbs, thrusters, push ups, core work

    the list is endless

Do what you can...with what you have... it's life... You can't put it on hold! Just do your very best and when you get back...hit it hard!

You say tomato I say Tabata; let’s call the whole thing off!
Tabata’s, sprinting and suicides are an awesome workout that can be done practically anywhere.
Here’s a couple of links that may help.
