how do you know that if you have extra skin in your body?

im 5'10 and the most i gained in my life is 88kg and now im 74 and i was wondering that if i have extra skin in my body that requires surgery? how can i know?

i have moobs if that helps...

  • it depends a lot on your age and genetic. if you lose the weight slowly your skin as some chance to retighten itself over time but it is a slow process.

    Skin is all external, so you don't have to guess, you'll be able to see it.

    "Requiring" surgery means that it's medically necessary, which means it's causing medical problems. The most common reason for NEEDING a tuck that I've heard is a little ecosystem forming under the apron. Barring medical issues, it's cosmetic surgery and likely not covered by insurance.

    Something like "moobs" will tighten up over time. What doesn't is the long, heavy skin "apron" that some get from rapid weight loss. If your picture is recent, I wouldn't worry about it.

    Start lifting. Building muscle will give something for that skin to wrap around. If you NEED surgery, you'll know because you'll look like a body builder with a random sack of skin hanging over yourself.
