I've made a lot of progress with myself since March of 2014, and it's all paid off!
Back in March, I had recently broken up with a boyfriend, and had gained some weight back that I had lost during that relationship. My habits weren't the best, and I had a previous cycle of logging religiously, exercising, losing, and then leaving the site, only to come back and repeat. After making a post here in the forums in March, and deciding once and for all to jump back on the wagon and never fall back off, I am now here, 107 days later, 18.6lbs lighter, and creating a sustainable and healthy relationship with both food and exercise.

I did not take a starter photo, but I did find an old one of me at my highest weight, which was around the 150s. I started around 148-150 in March 2014. The left is a photo from a couple years ago, and the right was a photo I took a few weeks ago:

(Sorry for the small photo! MFP scales these down.)

As my wonderful MFP friends will see from my diary, I have found ways to fit what I want into my days. I still have one (or two! Depending on my workday, haha) iced caramel coffees from Dunks per day, I still eat sweets, I still eat pizza, but now has been an entire 180 for me. I'm finding myself judging if I'm really hungry or not. I'm finding myself in the kitchen cooking and meal prepping more often. I'm finding myself listening to my body's cues for what it wants. Through weighing everything that goes into my body, I've found my eyeballing skills have improved tenfold when I don't have access to my food scale (or just don't want to weigh for a day). I went for a drive tonight, and really reflected on how amazing my body has felt, and how I no longer fear macros, like fat. I've really taken the past 107 days to heart, and it's improved my outlook to really sticking to my plan for a very long time.

I started at 148-150, and this morning I finally saw 129.6 on my scale. My initial goal was 135 to start, and after that, my intervals were set at 5lbs per additional goal. I've hit each subsequent goal in around one month's time each. I've set my first ultimate goal to 120lbs, and if I want to continue, I will be setting goals at 2.5lb intervals until I am satisfied. I plan on lifting soon, and beginning strength training. Once I get clearance/treatment from a cardiologist, I'm hoping to get back into running (I had to stop due to my tachycardia) as well, and training myself to run a non-stop mile. I have a bunch of goals I know are attainable, healthy, and good for me. And I'm very thankful for the friends I've connected with on here so far, since they are my main motivators that keep me going each day with their input, advice, and encouragement.

I hope everyone else has luck with reaching their goals as well! :)

You can! :) I found that a .5lb/week loss goal was best for me, and I do lose more some weeks depending on my intake/exercise. The way I see it, slow and steady wins the race, and gets you sustainable habits!

    Good luck!

I'm 101 days in, and I've lost 25 pounds :D So far, so good, but I have 125 more pounds to lose. I basically saw myself in a full length mirror and decided I was too big. I've been big all my life. i was chucky as a little kid, and when we moved to Arizona where it was too hot to go outside, I became a computer addict and would never go outside besides school, and recess rime was spent reading, so my weight ballooned. i was 200 pounds by the time I was 12, and when I started MFP, I weighed 318 pounds at 18. I'mnow 295 and I'm trying to push that number lower and lower
