Insanity - Injured in recovery week

I have a chronic back condition (disk out of place), but have been able to complete now almost 5 weeks of insanity with almost no back pain. Ironically in 'recovery week' I now have a spasm in my lower back. Although I had pain yesterday I did the workout anyway but am not sure it is making my back better. Would it be wiser to rest 1/2 days until its better, or would doing the exercise be beneficial to a back spasm? - as i feel guilty about missing workouts.

I would talk to your doctor about that to be honest. In the meantime give yourself a REAL rest just in case you make it worse (and then you wouldn't be able to finish the program at all and that's no fun - you worked too hard!). If you really want to keep moving, try going for a walk or something but you definitely don't want to chance messing up your back even more!
