When is it safe to increase amount of exercise?

I'm a total newbie to exercising and am currently in my first week of doing the 30 day shred. I'd also like to start the Cto5k at some point, but I'm not sure when is too soon to put extra stress on my body. For those who are unfamiliar, 30 day shred is a 20 minute workout that combines cardio, strength training and abs. Thanks =)

    If you don't have any physical limitations or been told otherwise by a doctor, exercise as much as you feel comfortable.
