I started my diet about 2 weeks ago, and am having a hard time staying motivated. I am on a 1200 cal a day plan, but find though a normal day after working out my net cal count is usually somewhere around 400, I have only lost 1 lb in 2 weeks. its hard for me to do virgorous exercise due to a knee injury. i need to find a way to get more protien and still keep my cal count low. Any ideas??

Hello, i just increased my fitness goal to lose more wt too. My daily calorie allowance is 1200 calories now too.. Beans paired with a whole grain make a complete low fat/ low calorie protein... I make 2 cans of black beans, i can of stewed tomato, and one can of corn (whole grain) f and add some fresh cilantro and low sodium taco seasoning for a lo-fat protein alternative. You just have to make sure that your beans are paired with a whole grain. Together they make a complete protein. You can also try to steam fish in the microwave.. I just bought a microwave steamer from walmart for under $10 and I steam talapia filets with lemon in less than 5 minutes. No extrra oil needed..its delicious! I hope this helps :) Good luck!

 I like drinking EAS protein drinks. They help me get my protein in.. Also my doctor suggested a table spoon a peanut butter when you know you arent getting enough protein. This usually takes my sweet craving away and gives me a boost.
