I'm 5"3 and weigh about 127 lb's. I exercise every day but I don't seem to be losing weight.
If I ate only fruit, vegetables and lean protein (I'd have eggs and chicken breast) and continued with my exercise; how much weight will I lose? How long will it take me to lose that 27 lb's?

First off, absolutely DO NOT limit your diet to fruit, vegetables, and protein. It doesn't matter what you're eating for weight loss, it just matters how much. As long as you are in a caloric deficit (burning more calories than you eat) every day, then you will lose weight. If you go on a restrictive diet, then when you inevitably eat a restricted food at a party or a barbecue or whatever, then you tell yourself that you've blown your diet for the day and end up eating 5000 calories. All you have to do is set a calorie goal that has you eating at a deficit, make sure you get enough protein, and make sure you're eating enough dietary fat as well. As far as losing 27 lbs, it kind of depends how long it will take. Could take 7 weeks, could take 14 weeks, could take 21 weeks, etc. All that matters is steady weight loss. It's actually better for yourself in the long run if you lose the weight slowly.0

depends how many calories are in those foods. read up on the threads at the top of this message board for all the info you'll ever need
general rule of thumb is 1-1.5 lb for 40-20 lbs, and .5 weeks for the last 20
so about 47 weeks0 -

Agree. Her body make up may make that weight unhealthy. Sounds like she has a hang up on that number rather than a healthy goal.0
