  • Hi, I'm currently at 177 from 185 and 5'3", I'm looking to get down to 140. My weight loss so far has been attributed to only dieting but I would like to eventually add some exercise. Right now I am just adjusting to the lower calories.

Well I was at 152 and I'm down to 135 and I'm 5'5. I was not happy with the way my clothes fit or more so how I looked. I work a ton of hours often many of them at a desk. I skipped meals a lot because I was busy or didnt bring anything. I always said I dont have time to workout but started out small. I was walking after work and dinner as many nights a week as possible. Any amount of time was good because I wasnt sitting so it made me feel good to be active. I walked or rode bikes with my 9 yr old and told him we needed to be healthier. I started tracking my steps with my iphone app and switched to a Fitbit. I also used the Mapmyride app. Anything to give me motivation. I have been using MFP tracking my calories which can be a pain sometimes but nothing worth winning is easy. I was faithful for 23 days of tracking and didnt have time or ability over a weekend away from home, so I got back on track after I got home. Life happens. Oh yeah make sure you take measurements. Its a lot more likely you we see results in clothing fit and not just weight loss on the scale. You can do it!

Feel free to add me. I am 5'6' and started at 164. I have been using MFP for 3 months and have reached 144 this morning. My goal is 135 and I have an open diary. It will be slow going to my goal, sometimes I lose nothing for a few weeks. But I am in no rush. Maybe by the Fall.

I'm 5'3 and started at 177lbs, I have lost 3lb since I started watching my calories and working out. My goal weight is 135-140 and I hope to get there by Dec. I want to go into the year healthy and smaller lol. I am at my heaviest (not pregnant) and I'm ready for change. Sometime I need a little push which is why I started mfp. There are a lot of positive ppl that ive come across. Aside from watching my caloric intake I ride my bike 3-4times a week for 1hr and I use another app Skimble (highly recommended) for at home workouts.
