Confused and Discouraged

So I've been working out and eating better for two and half months and I'm in better physical shape. I can go longer and be more active without getting winded, BUT my weight and inches on my waist never change.
Some mornings like this past week I wake up and the scale says 222 most days (12lbs from where I started) and it makes me feel good. Like maybe this is just slowly working, then other days I wake up and the scale says I'm back up to 230 and I wonder what I'm doing wrong.

It could be water weight, it's odd to have such a signification change in weight in such a small time without it being water weight really. Could also be that you need to change your exercise round a bit? I found that i got to a point where i wasn't losing any weight any more even thought i was working my butt off (plateau) and i started gaining and losing every week it was annoying. So i got myself a personal trainer to help see if he could help and its worked. It could be your body has gotten used to the exercise or loads of different things. Sadly bodies are weird like that lol. Hope you figure something out soon x0

First off, good work!
Second: Read all the links from HeartsOnFire. They are genius.
Third: Whenever I stagnate, I tell myself that I am gaining muscle and losing fat at the same time. It sounds like you have non-scale data that makes that true! Don't just look at the number of pounds as indicators of success! Also, take measurements now, if you haven't already - those numbers are also good indicators of success!
Fourth (and most important): don't give up. You are doing good work!0 -
I am in the same boat and I am not sure whats wrong.
i have been very good about what I eat, making sure my calorie intake is between 1200 and 1450.
I'm not exersizing yet, I haven't been healthy enough. But I am feeling much healthier and have been wlking to the mailbox
and plan on walking daily and when i get better doing other exersize. But I am SO DISCURAGED however I AM NOT giving up.
I want to live. I want to THRIVE.
Don't give up. WE can do this!!!!!!0
