Good Morning Everyone,
Looking forward to finally starting those New Years resolutions! I was recently looking through old to do list, and found a pattern......Today's to do-eat healthy, exercise, time for yourself....2012....2013....2014. Well finally, FINALLY, taking control. It takes a village so I'm gonna need support. Thanks Everyone:happy:

Hi Everyone :flowerforyou: My name is Shirley & I was referred by my doctor to this site. I'm only 26 but am having quite a few health issues occur recently including a cancer scare that is still not yet conclusive. I am 100 lbs overweight (even though I don't feel it lol). Unfortunately I am an emotional eater & have very little self control. I was not raised to eat nutritious foods & I am from Newfoundland where the traditional foods are really not healthy (except for fish!). I'm hoping to get back to who I truly am. I was actually picked on as a child for being so skinny - now I'm considered obese which is such an ugly word. I am motivated but sometimes need that extra push which is why I am here~! Here's to a better future :drinker:0

Good Morning, my name is Sarah and I need to lose about 50lbs. It's taken many years to gain this weight and I'm hoping it won't take that long to lose it. My hopes of using this app is to stay focused and not give up.0

Hi Yellow sapphire, it has taken me 3 botched gastric bypass surgeries (due to complications and still gained all the weight back plus some) 4 small bowel obstructions (10 years later) to finally see the error of my ways. It's ok to splurge, just not every day. I am currently doing 1200 calorie diet that Icreated myself with the help of fitness pals. And I have 15 more pounds, down 70 pounds so far. So you can do it, at my current weight haven't been here since 1980. And I think about all the time wasted, looking for the miracle cure. Seeing a product on tv and magazines, looking for the magic cure. That doesn't exist! I diet every day except the days I am off. I am only off 3 days a month so it helps me a lot to work. And the key to success is to plan plan everything before you eat. I work 2nd shift so my dr. Recommended I eat at 11am, 3pm and 7pm, this works for me! I have 2 snacks in between. So I never feel hungry. There are a lot of low calorie foods out there so you don't feel deprived! Drinking 1/2 your weight is water is another commitment.
I have tried to get friends on the bandwagon, but they don't want to take the time to committ to the water and the planning. That is the key. I am constant looking at calorie content in food!0 -
Very nice links. Copying the " Change your mindset" post So true.0

I love setting goals for myself. I have been doing every week/2weeks and months goal. I know what I want for the larger picture but celebrating little triumphs is SO much fun!
Looking for accountability partners; add me as a friend if you like.0 -
Hi Everyone. I did move the number in my scale and it is a "yepey" day for me again. You find here how I did it

Hello, and good luck! Definitely set goals for yourself. Don't let the little voice that might be telling you, "Oh, I don't want to do this right now," win.0
