For the past 2 weeks I've been doing all the logging of calories going into my body. I have been reading now about sodium. Can you tell me a good # for sodium? I do want to lose this weight and am dead serious about it.

Well up until today the recommended amount of sodium was 2500 mg or less. An article posted this morning states the American Heart Association has decreased that # to 1500 mg!!!0

If you click "food" and then "settings" (while in your food diary page) MFP will let you track up to five things. If you pick "sodium", it will set up a guideline for you.

I believe 1500 mg is the amount you should get (you do need some in your diet and that you should not go over 2400.0
