Which yogurts are best to eat?

Hi all,
So I am new to the whole fitness/weightloss world.
And I checked MFP and saw that the yogurt I was consuming contained more FAT
than any other meal in my food diary.
Please do advise which are better choices?
And do quote BRANDS and PRICES as well.
I love yogurt but not the FAT !

I'm sure there are many opinions on this, but I like Chobani Greek 100 cal packs. They seem to have the most 'natural' ingredients of all the ones I've looked at, and I like their flavors. Also, the protein is high (12 grams) for the calorie count and they have 3 sources of probiotics. Also, my local grocery often has these for under $1.00 a piece. Fage is the best TASTING to me, but is more caloric and more expensive.
From their website....
About Chobani® Greek yogurt

As stated, fat isn't all bad. I like Yeo Valley plain natural yoghurt as its (as the name suggests) made from all natural ingredients. I also like Total 0% greek, as its really thick lice ice cream so great on mixed berries and nuts for dessert.0

If you're trying to get your fat from other sources try plain non-fat Chobani and Fage and avoid the flavored ones. I use yogurt to balance my protein, for recovery, recipes, and because I love it!0

fat isn't going to make you fat... if you enjoy it, eat it. I've eaten fage full fat greek yoghurt for breakfast everyday for like the past two weeks and it hasn't stalled my weight loss at all.0

You put your weight in kilograms, so perhaps you live in Europe. If so, try low-fat Quark. It is like yoghurt but much richer and thicker and has more protein.

I eat coburn farms yogurt., it's about 190 calories but very filling and delicious.0

I love Yeo valley Greek style yoghurt, both the fat free and the full fat are delicious and perfectly healthy when used in conjunction with a balanced diet. I make a raspberry roularde with the fat free option for guilt free pudding after an otherwise rich meal.....Meringue, cooked with flaked almonds on top wrapped up with yoghurt and berries....delicious!0

I eat "Turkish" yogurt, 10% fat, no additives, no guilt, very delicious. Mix it with fruit/milk/nuts/nut butters/maple syrup.0

I agree that there is nothing wrong with fat, and some is necessary for your body to function properly.0 -

I don't really care for the yoplait yogurts, mainly because they taste too sweet for me. I really like the Fage Total, which is full fat.
I'm not sure why you'd like to avoid fat, but it is pretty awesome at keeping you feelings full. I know there are a lot of food myths out there!
I was told to think of it like this: Your body is like a fire, fat and protein are logs- they burn for a long time, and when they go out, the still put off a little heat. Carbs are like sticks, they burn quickly (but you still need them!) Each component is important in keeping the fire going.
I really just like my yogurt to be mold free, IMO, the best yogurt is one that you like!0 -

I love Noosa, which is totally not low in fat, but it's downright delicious. The Lemon one has lemon curd in it. I like it with raspberries.0

If you are in Canada - best is Liberte... Everything from plain 0%-11% regular and all kinds of Greek Yogourt flavoured and plain in several fat% ranges. The smoothest, creamiest, least tart yogourt in the store. Followed closely by Island Farms. First one from farms in Quebec, second from family owned farms on Vancouver Island.0

FAGE plain greek yogurt is what I like. You can get it in nonfat, and 2% and whole. It's great to have choice and I mix one scoop of my protein in it to get a 50g serving of protein. I don't avoid fat in my diet.0
-
0% Greek Yogurt Plain by Fage. It has 18g of protien, 0 g of fat, 7g of carbs. 100 calories. I mix mine with cut fresh strawberries.0

I am offened with THE WTF? A simple Fat is a good thing in moderation instead of acting with vulgar language-I took it as Judgmental. There is no need for offensive wording to get a point across
Offend by 3 letters :noway: ...... then you need to get out more :ohwell: :yawn:0 -
i eat fage 0% greek yogurt, which is fat free and i find it very tasty. what it costs depends on what store you buy it at - the 6 ounce containers i see at from 99 cents to as high as $1.29. the medium containers about $3.50 on up and the really large containers about $7.50, but i usually but it on sale at around $5.50.0

Chobani 100
100 calories, 12g protein0 -
Don't stress . some fat is good for you especially if your exercing too. greek yogurt sucks. try non fat yogurt get yo taste on but watch the sugars suga!!!!0

I am trying to look at the big picture when I look at labels now. In fact I was just looking at the local store brand plain non-fat yogurt I had been getting and comparing it to the low and regular fat ones. The non fat one had no fat and lower calories but more sodium and sugar. Since I often do not exceed my fat goal for the day I thought it might be better to have a little extra fat and less sugar and salt.
But to answer your question which is best - I would say Stonyfield non-fat or lowfat. I really like them but rarely am I willing to pay that much premium for it.0
