So eat... as long as you have the calories left for the day. It does not matter what time of day you eat. Weight loss is about calorie deficit, if you are in one, you will lose...0
-
I agree, eat. I don't feel it matters when you eat, just that you eat within your goals.0
-
It is just that I have always read that you must not eat after 6 pm.0

If you're hungry, eat. When you're full (or hit your number, if you're doing numbers), stop.
If you aren't hungry, skip it. (But you said you were.)
They're your rules. You made them and you can break them.

Agree, go ahead and eat if its within your goal. I just ate a giant salad LOL0

What if you don't go to bed until 2am?0 -
It doesn't matter what time you eat. All that matters is that you stay under your calorie goal.0

Just eat. The only reason not to eat after a certain time is if you have trouble falling asleep shortly after eating. Some people have trouble with that and some don't. Your body will still digest and use the food the same whether you eat it at 7 a.m., 5 p.m. or 11 p.m.0

what time zone?
what if you work a night shift?
what is you are staying up late?
what if you arent a gremlin?0 -
I always thought that if you went to sleep soon after eating that you were not able to burn the calories and they turned into fat. I always used to eat late and I thought that helped contribute to my weight problem. For teh past few months I have been trying to eat by 6pm.
I am not worried about falling asleep I am so exhausted. lol0 -
Calories can't tell time...0

The 6pm thing is a load of codswallop. Eat.0

You sleep, you don't go into stasis. This is a total weight loss myth,0 -
It honestly doesn't matter. I used to believe that too. there are so many wives tales we are told that aren't true. Another one is eating smaller meals more often. That's not true either. It may help some people to keep them from overeating, but calorie wise it doesn't matter. I've met ppl on here who eat all their calories in 2 meals per day and hv lost over 100 lbs. Do what I did. Take everything you've ever heard/read about weightloss, ...And forget it. All of it. Start new, and you will learn so much on here. Eat less calories than you burn & you'll lose weight. That's all0

skipping meals is completely counterproductive. it just makes you want to binge later and even if you dont.... a fast that goes too long makes your metabolism all wonky.
eat.0 -
The only reason not to eat after 6 pm is if there is a specific medical reason (example, I used to be on a medication where I had to take it 3 hours after eating but also at bedtime allowing 8 hours to sleep, so I had to finish eating by 7 pm - no food after that) but if you don't have one then you should eat. Calories can't tell time.0

1. It's 5:00 somewhere.
2. You better get up early! (This is Chuck reminding Bill to SHUT UP!)
3. No soup for you!
4. You may swim, but still no eating after 6:000 -

(Lovely use of the word codswallop by the way!)
And as for all the myths about metabolism "stopping, "going wonky" or needing a "kick-start" - absolute balderdash!!0 -
Eat...its about calorie deficit not timing of meals.0
-
I hardly ever eat tea before 6 pm - never on weekdays as I dont get home from work till nearly 6.
Has not stopped me losing weight.0 -

eat.
Lol. Myth.
You realize there is a whole lot of people that fast everyday on purpose. And have amazing results.0
