Oh hey there,
I'm Colleen. A 23 year old 911 dispatcher from Canada with a love for protein pancakes and all things fitness-related. Oh, except cardio. Because no.
I was hella overweight as a kid and then lost the weight before high school and have since had a continual internal struggle- my inner fat kid vs my health freak self.
I eat well most of the time but my ratios are off. I probably eat clean 65 percent of the time and want to get that to 80 per cent and stay that way... FOREVAAAA
I've decided that I don't want to do another "diet" again. Basically ever. I really only have 15 vanity pounds to lose so I don't think it'd be reasonable/maintainable to do another diet. I just want to live healthfully and be good to myself.
I guess I've come to the conclusion that slow and steady wins the race and that my long term goal (continually eating clean 80/20) is more important than my vain short term goal of forcing 15lbs off immediately, like I've successfully done before.
I've never done slow and steady before....
Anyone else in a similar boat or have advice for not being a crazy person who just eats protein and vegetables for a month and then goes ape**** on a bag of cheetos from over-restricting myself?
Thaaaanks

65% healthy is still way better than the typical American diet, so yay, you! Celebrate every non-scale victory (NSV).
Fit yummy, portion-controlled treats into your calorie goal. Deprivation can lead to bingeing.
