Hey guys so I've been on my new lifestyle/diet for 10 weeks and so far I've lost 11kgs (about a kilo a week) which I'm very very happy 1 week ago I added in the gym with my normal routine which was walking 2km every day and keep to a strict eating plan. I'm finding that pretty easy to keep that up. My confusion comes from my weight loss stalling since I started the gym so that is 3 times a week with am extra walk every day on top of my normal walk. I gained 200g, now I've read about muscles retaining water in your first few weeks of gym. I this true? Can any body shed some light. My calories are around 1700. Any advice/help?!

Yes, I had a stall for a couple of weeks after adding exercise, then I had a bigger than usual drop and it went back to normal.0

Its not un common to gain a few pounds even when first starting out a strength program. Just stick with it because even thu your weight may stay the same, your body is making amazing changes.0

stay with the weights....
You are prolly just holding water, and as others have said, it will come off.
and it looks like you have lost about 2 lbs / week??
That is good, just keep going.0
