Is it 28.9 BMI, or 28.9% body fat? The two are very different. I ask because you wrote "BMI" and then gave a percentage. Actual BMI is not a percentage, so I'm not sure if you confused it with body fat %.

I've never been a fan of that one. I feel it's a little high. I'm sure there will be a lot of people who will disagree but I also know a lot of people who feel that calculator is on the higher side. I prefer this one http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ but that's just me.

I get 1730 for 15% deficit on IIFYM, same number Scooby gives me. I don't see any difference in the calculation, depends on what you put for body fat # I guess, if you don't have a good idea what that is, use Scooby's.

I'd say your carbs look a little high and fats a little low.
  • Sorry newbie here I got the bmi and body fat percentage confused. I used scoobys workshop I put 175lbs 1 to 3 hours of light exercise 15% calorie reduction 40% carbs 30% fat 30% protein and gave me 1894 calories does that sound about right?
  • I think it's a good place to start. Remember, dieting is trial and error. Give it a month. See how it works and adjust from there.
