Newbie- Please help me to understand?

Hello,
I am new, have been on a 12 day journey. Motivated, drinking water, water exercise no less than 90 minutes every day.
Not sure if I have lost any weight but I do feel better.

When I look at my overall diet profile I do not understand what some of this means,

1. Calories burned from normal daily activity - is that just being alive or does that include my 90 minutes of swimming?
2. My daily goal of net calories consumed is 1630 - every calorie is healthy at this point.
3. in red it shows daily cal. deficiet is 1000 calories, - so I should lose? Is this a good number?

So in summary, I make the assumption that if my exercise number is higher than my calories consumed daily, I will lose?
thanks for any help you can provide

Ur normally always in the red if u burn more then what ur eating I have people tell me as long as ur net is 800 or more u should be ok so like if u ate 1630 cals but burned 1000 cals u only really had 630 cals which isn't good but we are all different. Some days I'm in the red and some I'm not either way I think it's really how u feel at the end of the day. Hope that helped
  • I just started dieting and some walking, I am just 42 and over weight. like you did, I stay tired and can't keep up. Any tips on staying motivated and not night snacking?

Thanks motivators, working hard, almost ocd but the one comment about being in the red/net helps me to understand better. I think I have lost 4 lbs already according to the new scale I purchased today. Have an md appt next week and that will be the real test as my starting weight is what was at the md about 4 weeks ago.
