Gained 1.5kg over night

Yesterday I weighed in at 68kg AFTER lunch so I had about three glasses of water, lunch and breakfast before I weighed myself so if we took all of that out I probably would have been under 68kg
This morning I weighed myself and I weighed in at 69.5 and that was before breakfast
How is this even possible?

I gained 2.1kg overnight. I'm retaining fluid like a damn camel. Weight fluctuates and it's just a fact of life. Unless you put away some serious calories its fluid or waste. It will go.0

I give myself a 5 lb window before I worry about it. Day to day fluctuation is normal0

I have gained even 2 Kgs overnight. It is the water retention due to salt.
Initially I freaked out but the weight gets back to normal if I do not eat anymore salty stuff.
Now it doesnt bother me anymore.0 -
I get frustrated when I weigh in more than twice a week. I notice the scale going up and down so much it makes me crazy!!0

This is why I am always skeptical when someone said she lost 5 pounds by _____ (fill in the blank)....If weight fluctuate like this, I guess we would have to wait until a 10 pound gone to claim a true loss?0

Yup, I can lose 3kg in 24 hours with just a hangover. As soon as I rehydrate, it's all back on, but the number is there on the scale! Water is heavy. 1 litre of water weighs one kilogram, whether it's in a bottle or in your belly (or extremities, as it is in my case).0 -
I just wanted to bump to say I'd dropped that 2kg again by this morning. Water retention is a funny thing!0

I lost 2.3 Kg yesterday and this morning I lost another 0.9 Kg. Its amazing how much water I retain because of salt (and that is because of vacation last week)0

this sort of huge drop has never happened to me...my weight only fluctuates upward...never downward...:(0
