Coolers that plug into your car

Hi all! Hopefully some of you have used these before. I'm going on a 4 week road trip this summer and I am curious about the feasibility of those coolers that you can plug into the power thing in your car. Will it drain my car battery if left plugged in all night if I'm spending a large part of the days driving? Are they very efficient? I'm not sure if I'd just be better off with a regular cooler and changing the ice. I'm hoping to travel with lots of fruits and veggies, almond milk, and some protein (eggs...maybe some cold cuts). Thanks!!

Some decent ones here. Gives me good ideas. I know you can get plug in slow-cookers too.

My MIL bought one and we used it for our trip this last week... I didn't think it kept things all that cool... but maybe there are better ones out there?

Thanks guys. Yeah I was wondering how effective they are and if it'll kill my car battery. Seems to be mixed reviews on a lot of them.

I'm a truck driver and I use the Coleman! It's about a hundred bucks and you can get it at walmart. They will cool about 30° lower than ambient air temp but will drain your battery after a few hours. However they come with an ac adapter so yo can plug it In to 110! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Thanks for that! I have seen them at Walmart and Canadian Tire and figured I'd probably end up with a Coleman if that's what I decided t odo. Good to know about the battery draining-I had a feeling that might be the case. I might be better off with a regular cooler then as I will not have access to wall outlets!
