I joined up quite a while ago, but never did anything. I am back because I quit smoking 8 months ago and have gained 20 pounds. I have five pairs of pants that fit me, and that's because I recently bought three of them. I have been getting on the treadmill daily, but I have not stopped eating.
I hope to give and receive support here by participating this time!

Gaining weight from quitting smoking sucks. I just quit at the end of May and promptly gained 8 pounds so I can relate.
  • I am really proud of myself, and you, for quitting. I smoked for over 30 years, and now I love breathing and walking and climbing stairs, but this weight has got to go!

I smoked for the majority of 2 decades. I had to go the medication route to quit. I tried everything else with no luck. This is the longest I've ever gone without smoking. It's odd. But I do enjoy the easier breathing and less sinus infections! Now I'm just trying to NOT get fatter! lol Congrats on quitting! It's a bi*ch ;)
