Hi! I'm just wondering what the weight on the bar at the squat rack at Goodlife is.

I called and asked but they didn't seem to know for some reason -_-

Is it a standard 7 foot bar? Should be 45 lbs

after googling this might be a smith machine you're talking about. They are 35lbs.
You would also be better off using free weights.

Hmm, aren't smith machines the ones where the bar stays on the machine? I meant the ones where the bars come off =/

Sorry, I'm sort of new to the weight lifting aspect so I may not have the terms right... But it was a squat rack then is it 45 lbs? It looked very similar to the olympic bars

A standard olympic bar is 45lbs. It could weigh more or less if it's a very cheap bar, or a women's olympic bar.
