    Hi Dawn,

Sounds like you and I are about at the same point is our weight loss goals. I started losing July 2, 2014 and had 85 pounds to lose. As of today, I've lost 21 pounds and it has not been easy at all. I think it is all in the mind set though ( from what I have read). I am trying to make changes in my lifestyle and modify my daily eating habits in ways that will be a permanent change. This way I am not thinking that when this is over I can have this or that. This is what I have done in past and gained back when I went "off" my diet. I know that everything has be in moderation especially treats. I read in a magazine about eating low calories a couple or three days and then having a higher calorie day to keep the body from going into starvation mode and have been kind of following this concept. I hope it works and doesn't backfire on me. Wondered if any have tried this.

What kind of plan are you following? Do you exercise? This is an area in which I have failed miserably. I am trying to get my daughter to go to the Y with me but so far I have been unsuccessful in convincing her this would be a fun use of her time.

Hope you had a very good day.

    Good Luck to all ..
Here are a few tips that I found to work for me:
    1. Make MFP your home page
    2. Log in EVERYDAY, read the message boards post.. Keep your mind actively thinking about it.
    3. Don't try to change too much at once, Implement 1 change every week or so. Little tweeks over time seem to work best or at least better than butt load of change all at once
    4. Always be honest. We all fall on our way to the top, be honest, no one is judging you here... we all support eachother
    5. Keep trying new things until you find what works for you (It took me a while to find my plan and it works great for me but I wouldn't push it on anyone else)
    6. It's easier to lift weights than the burdens of carrying weight.
    7. Take it one day at a time.
    8. Have a cheat day or meal, where you eat what you want
    9. Try to talk to yourself as if you are talking to your child or loved one. Often times the thing we need most is to be a better friend to ourselves.
    10. Smile
