Suck at cooking. Anyone else eat like this?

Me too, I keep it simple - for dinner I choose a protein, a starch and a veg, salt and pepper on and throw the meat/salmon in the oven, boil rice/potato/whatever, and heat some peas or beans in the oven after I've turned off the heat. Or I will make chili or pasta that requires some cutting, but I don't mind that except for the onions, it takes time because it makes my eyes hurt and water (haven't figured out a solution there).
I like to make smoothies, that resembles cooking, but the Nutribullet is easy to clean.
Sometimes I make oatmeal, in a bowl in the microwave.
Other than that it's just cutting fruit and vegetables and slicing of cheese that is necessary.
I really like this way of eating. Everything tastes so good and I believe it gives me the nutrients I need, I'm hungry only at meals and only get the odd craving.
Exactly! Smoothies really are good. What kind of smoothies do you like? My current smoothie favorite is mango pineapple and it's very good.0 -
Pretty much how I plan my meals.
Meat + veggy.
I care less about carbs- I fit them in via oreos LOL
but yeah- meat- veggies maybe a carb. It's an easy way to arrange food. Has nothing to do with how well you can or cannot cook- it's just a useful way to be organized to feed yourself. You're doing fine.
That's the same way I see it. Not sure where the "you eat raw meat? comments" are coming from; sigh...some people lol. I do the same, sometimes with Twinkies.0 -
Isn't that, you know... cooking?
My thoughts exactly.
Someone saying they don't cook well, doesn't imply they can't cook at all.0 -
lol. i do even less cooking than you. i buy frozen, pre-cooked chicken. it's delicious, they come cooked in various sauces too. they also have pre-cooked steak in the freezer section at the grocery, but i haven't tried that yet. the price difference is negligible, and it's so. damn. easy. they even have those rice pouches you just throw in the microwave for 90 seconds, and you've got something to throw the meat on. nuke some veggies to add, and you've got a nice meal.
i do pre-made salads for lunch with some of my pre-cooked chicken added in, toasted english muffins and PB for breakfast. i can't remember the last time i turned on my stove. i love it; it's easy and takes minimal time and effort.0
