Retaining water

I feel like retaining water is my biggest issue. I have had many kidney surgeries and after my most recent one in October, I lost about 8 pounds in water weight alone, and have really noticed a difference in my face and how my clothes and jewelry fit. Now I'm starting to retain water again and it makes me feel and look a lot bigger than I really am, so frustrating...any advice? Maybe cut down on my sodium?

Not much except that we will do another kidney function test in September. I have 3 different kidney doctors (all in the city quite a drive from where I live), plus my regular doctor and it's pretty confusing and complicated to be honest. I have been leaving messages for both the surgeons who did my 12.5 hour kidney surgery and gettin the run around and my PCP doesn't know what she is talking about and hasn't even heard of the surgery I had before so...I'm just trying to figure this out on my own and see if it is diet related for now.0

Retaining water is a real problem and you need to take hold of this situation before it gets worse.Cutting out sodium from your diet is certainly going to help you with your water retaining problem.I have been facing the same problem for a few years now and it keeps coming back once I reintroduce salt into my diet. So try and cut out the sodium and see if it helps.0
