Hello,
So I am 12 stone, 6 and am about 6 foot 1.
I'm trying to lose weight. I am on 1920 calories a day and have been tracking my food for only a few days now.
Really trying to make the effort.
I am set at 144g of carbs, 192g of protein and 64g of fat.
Only problem is over the days I have been tracking I have massively gone over my fats, sometimes not reaching my carbs, I have been hitting my protein. Is this good or bad?
I am just craving sweet things so have ate really well throughout the day and treated myself to something naughty at night.
Any advice? Am I doing things wrong?
thank you.

I'm over on my fat today as well.
In order to feel full on my calorie allotment, I tend towards a lower (not low, but lower) carb/higher protein/fat ratio. I have mine set at 40 carb/30 protein/30 fat. Today I'm at 39%/27%/34%.
How over are you? If it's by a few percentage points, it's probably not that big of a deal.
I'd probably focus on the protein, and the let the fat and carbs fall where they may. If you are consistently running 45-50% fat, then it might be time to take a look at things.0 -
Fat is 84g when should be 72g a day. I've had 109g carbs when my goal is 161g and my protein is 147g when it should be 215.
I will have a protein shake before bed though so that will bump my protein up.
I had two little snickers ice creams about half an hour a go so my fat is high for today ????.
I have still got 363 calories remaining from 1920. 230 of them are exercise.0 -
Is it really bad to consume this much fat when trying to lose weight? I've been having lots of protein. Lots of eggs and protein shakes.0

I use MFP's protein & fiber goals as minimums, and ignore fats & carbs. It will take trial & error to find what works for you.
The Sexypants post should be required reading for all MFPers: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1080242-a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-Sexypants0 -
I think that's fine. Your caloric goal is key when trying to lose weight; protein will help your muscles repair and keep you feeling full, so concentrate on hitting that macro; the rest is gravy, as long as it's within reason.0
