Kick that Craving!

When I first started working out, I did so good! I had so much will power and was able to not eat/drink those small snacks. Now I am see myself slowly slipping back into old habits. A Starbucks one day, then the next, then the next and before I know it, I consumed an extra 300 cals a day on a coffee. How do you find strength to resist these small foods/drinks that are such a weakness? I am able to turn down alot, but I cant seem to kick this coffee craving and its not just coffee...its the peppermint mochas, white choc mochas, etc. And even though I get them non fat, no whip and a tall, its still extra calories consumed in a beverage that are totally unnecessary!

I'm a coffee lover and a lover of Starbucks. I luck out that I don't have a Starbucks near me so that helps. Have you ever had a Keurig coffee? I received a Keurig last Christmas and it has been my saving grace. I buy all the yummy k-cups in great flavors like Cinnamon Roll, Mudslide, and even Chocolate Glazed Donut. I find that these are sweet enough that I only need a teaspoon of FF creamer and I am good to go.0

I have one as well and I love it! I wanted to just save money at first, but now it's become a useful tool in keeping coffee in my life without all the calories! Mine came with a cup for your own brewed coffee so I just get a house blend and then flavor that with FF creamers. It's cheaper than buying the boxes of cups and I didn't really like the flavored ones they have. But everyone is different!0

I would love to have extra calories to spend on the peppermint mocha, the gingerbread latte, a nice caramel macchiatto. Sigh...I do enjoy the skinny caramel macchiatto from Starbucks. I can usually talk myself out of one if I tell myself I'm going to have a cup of coffee with a tablespoon of one of my yummy creamers. It's less than 50 calories per cup with 1 tablespoon, and it makes me feel better about passing up the full fat coffee drink with whipped cream.0

You can get fat free Caramel Macchiato creamer and it's really good and way fewer calories than Starbucks - way cheaper too.0

What kind of creamer are you all using? Do you add any sugar?0

I currently have 12 different creamers. They vary in fat free and sugar free. I typically do not add sugar to my morning coffee, however, if I am enjoying a cup in the afternoon or for dessert (which I sometimes do) I will add a teaspoon of sugar.
I would like to try Truvia though.0
