Who's lost on the Low Carb High Fat Diet?

Anyone here lost weight on the LCHF diet? I'm just starting it now, and wondering how others are going with it. I'm having a hard time eating all the fat without going over in protein and carbs! Still sticking with a 1200 cal limit, but again, finding it hard to make that without going over in the other stuff!

There are a bunch of success stories. I would look into some of the low carb groups. The one thing I would suggest, if you are active, 1200 calories isn't going to be enough fuel.

And to get more fats, add dairy, nuts, and more meats... especially bacon.

Hi! I've been doing LCHF since April and I've lost 29 lbs so far. Some good high fat foods I love are avocado, bacon, sour cream, and heavy whipping cream (in my coffee). Also try adding butter or olive oil on your veggies at meal time to increase your fat macro.

When you count carbs, are you counting net carbs (Which is total carbs minus the fiber count) Some foods like avocado may look high in carbs, but most of the carbs are coming from fiber so it's okay.

Also check out this group as well for advice: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/1160-keto

    Hope that helps! :)

Hi, I lost 40 pounds in 6 months. I did not count calories at all but I ate a healthy fat serving with every meal to stay full and reduce cravings, I limited saturated fats (bacon and 35% cream) Now that I'm on maintenance mode, if I'm craving carbs I try to eat them earlier in the day or right after a good workout. Good luck!

You do realize you are going to lose weight because of the 1200 calories and has nothing to do with LCHF, just another gimmick that is being peddled. If you eat less calories regardless of source than you burn you will lose weight. A healthy balance will last a life time, anything else will make you one of the millions that have bought into fads and causes the yo-yo effect, somewhere down the road.
