missing the basics i guess

many have claimed to be eating at around 1200 calories and not losing to which they are told either that they eat more than that and are logging incorrectly or (which is the complete opposite) if you are REALLY eating 1200, it is too low. i eat around 1200 and though i am trying to lose, i actually eat at that threshold by accident. i dislike a lot of foods and have digestive issues that make eating a lot misery. But- surprise- i never lose. Here is my confusion- when i have added more calories- as is recommended- i just gain a few pounds that either stick or lose those few when i go back to 1200 (ish). This is not what i am told is supposed to happen. I am told my metabolism will rev up (it doesn't), that i should be able to lose at 1300 to 1500 calories (i don't), that the shifting of calories will shake my system up away from its 'set point' of 160 pounds (nope).
what am i doing wrong?

Looking at your diary for the last three days, what appears to be wrong is that you are not tracking any of your meals.

I remember you. Your diary is still empty. If you prefer to track on paper or through some other means, you may need to speak with a nutritionist or someone who can actually look at what you're eating. It's extremely difficult for people to determine what you may or may not be doing wrong without any data. We covered all of this last time. I think you're asking for info you cannot get from this group, given the actions you may or may not be willing or able to put in

Okay, good point. Quickly browsing, I get the impression that some days with entries are not fully logged. Could you give us an example of a range of days with full and correct entries so we can limit any reviews to those days?

If you're not losing at 1200 why would you lose at 1500. That's even assuming you're logging correctly at 1200 now going up to 1500. Could in actuality be 1700.
