    I love whiskey/bourbon. This is a site I really like: http://www.thefiftybest.com/spirits/best_bourbon/

Also, there is a whiskey barrel coffee that is amazing, despite being a tad pricey. http://whiskeybarrelcoffee.com/

I've been moving into the bourbons over the past year. Specifically I find they have more flavour for my palette. There is less rye based whisky up here then there used to be and most Canadian whiskies are more and more blended.

At the moment I have Maker's Mark and Elijah Craig in my cabinet. Only a glass of each but, quite pleased. Enjoyed Bulleit as well though Maker's Mark is significantly smoother. They almost cost double what you pay down in America so my cabinet is being added to slowly as I'm also exploring the Irish Whiskies more.

    Other personal favorites are:

Blanton's (top billing in my book)
    Basil Hayden
    Larceny
    Knob Creek
    Woodford Reserve
    Maker's 46

I'm also a huge fan of Scotch and Japanese whiskey. My favorites are Lagavulin, Oban, and Hibiki.

Oh I love they peaty stuff. I won't say no to any of the ones from the south coast of Islay (Lagavulin, Laphroaig, and Arbeg), and I'll add Talisker to that list since it's like one of their long-lost cousins.

And if you want to talk blended Scotch, my go-to is Teacher's, which has a healthy dose of Ardmore for a lovely peaty undertone.

I only recently dipped my toe (figuratively) into Japanese whiskies. Had a glass of Yamazaki that blew my mind.

A lot of great bourbons have already been mentioned. I don't think I've seen Willett go by. I'm a big fan of the Willett pot still reserve and family estate bottled bourbons. For mixing, we go with Old Forester.

I know you're asking for boubon but look into Cruzan Aged Rum. My husband refused to drink anything but Makers until he found this stuff. Now we special order it by the case.

Is that anything like The Macallan? ;-)

Very nice choice, though it has jumped way up in price recently and I tend to opt for a Lagavulin 16 - if you like full-flavored - or The Glenlivet 21 - lighter, sweeter and a bit cheaper than The Macallan 18.

YES I'm finishing off my bottle of Four Roses. Love love love. Crazy that they are hand numbered.

My list is something like this:

    4 Roses
    Basil Hayden
    Angel's Envy
    Mitcher's Sour Mash
Bulleit if I'm at a bar

I also have a secret stash of Pappy 20 and 23 in my closet. I don't trust my friends. Or my husband. Or my cat. Or me.
