So happy to learn about Bodyglide! I was dying at work last night and I have to walk a ton for my job. How I haven't developed calluses on my upper inner thighs yet is beyond me.

I used to get bad chaffing when I went on long runs. My runner friend told me to just put some vasaline there and it worked like magic

I had this issue when I was at my biggest weight, I'm still getting it. I have very close legs. My mother tucked me very well as a baby.

For dresses/skirts, I usually cut old tights that are very fitted and with good material (such that won't roll) and wear them underneath. I don't wear short dresses/skirts so I cut them mid my thigh. They are very sheer tigthts in nude.
I find spandex to much on hot weather and yoga shorts to much (as in material).

At my current weight, if I don't have a lot to walk that day, it's usually enough to rub baby powder on my inner thigh to prevent some rub (but eventually the powder wears off).

Most runner will recommend BodyGlide. It's an anti-chafing balm to prevent chafing when running/walking long distances. I've used it and love it!

I wear Jockey Skimmies Slipshorts underneath dresses. They are thin and breathable and I can't even tell that I have them on. I've worn them on some pretty hot days and they are still super comfy.

haha so true. I like your style.

Thanks for all the replies. I don't feel so awkward anymore :)
I'm going to look into those Skimmies/bike shorts. I thought about Spanx but I don't like feeling like I'm having the fat squeezed out of me. Baby powder isn't really an option as I mainly wear black. I've definitely rubbed deodorant up and down my thighs before which works pretty well until it's 90+ outside and I start sweating. The compression shorts I've seen look too short. My problem is located more mid thigh. Idk what they're called but I bought these, "shorts" that are like underarmour that football players wear under their pads and they work really well, they come to almost my knee so in maxi dresses you can't tell I have them on but I can't really wear them with skirts.

^ I've seen those Bandlettes all over Pintrest and I'm curious about them because they look like they would be sort of cute. I might have to try them.

They take a little getting use to, I felt like they were going to fall down or start rolling down all the time, but they actually stay in place quite nicely, just don't buy a size that's too small or they will roll down constantly. Once you're use to them though they work really well, and since they are cute it's not embarrassing if the bottom edge shows a little on shorter skirts or if you come home from a date and have them on still.

I wear sliders under my dresses! I haven't had a huge problem since I lost weight with my legs rubbing together. It was only a problem when I was at Disney in May sweating like a pig!

My fave is the Assets brand from Target. I buy them way too big so they just stop the wriggling, but don't turn me into a sausage casing. I hate chub-rub.

The trouble is walking on the beach. What do you do then??? It hurts!

Edited to add: I meant I wear a spankie-type thing to prevent the rubbing. And Assets from Target is what I like. I'm needing a nap.

This is what I want to know the answer to! I know body glide would work on the beach, but after you get in the water you'd have to reapply it. That could be embarrassing to do in public. I suppose you could just wear longer shorts or capris, but wheres the fun in that?
