Maybe a mental block...?

I am a member of online WW. I have been for probably 4 years. So that's about $1,000 that I've paid over the past 4 years. I have continued to be the same weight throughout that time, just teetering back and fourth between the same 10 pounds. Then recently, I found MFP. It's nice to be able to track the calories (like points) but I'm also seeing my protein/carb/fat intake, etc. It's also nice that it links to my FitBit to keep track of my activity accurately and to be able to eat those calories back.
However...I believe the mental block is with the WW because I still haven't canceled my subscription! I'm comfortable there, but I've been using MFP for the past 4 days and not using WW. I've only tracked on WW because I wanted to check and see the difference between my calories here and my points there. The other mental block I'm having is with the weekly points. I like to have those extras for the weekends. So essentially I'm venting here, but I'm also looking for some advice or help on why you think I may not have cancelled it yet and if you think I should? I don't know why this is so hard for me!
Thanks in advance! :flowerforyou:

Totally cancel it. MFP gives you the same thing, if not more. Plus there are a lot of very knowledgeable people in the forums to answer your questions. It's free, it's simple. No one's trying to sell you anything. Stop wasting that money on WW and start saving it to buy yourself something that you WANT! :flowerforyou:0

I had no luck when I stopped meetings and started WW online. Its essentially the same but I like seeing the other nutrient levels. Sparkpeople had even more listed. I wish we could list more here but I stick with here its just easier. I have the option of logging food via phone/tablet and on my laptop. So its open. The points earned on SP was interesting and fun but not enough to switch back.0

I agree with above post. If you've been at the same weight for the past 4 years you've been on it then what good is it really doing you. I love MFP and have actually had more success with it than any other time in my life that I've tried losing the weight. For once I really believe that I can do this and you can too. There are lots of inspirational informative people on here that are here to help you and the best part, their advice is free and the majority of it is accurate and really works. These are people that have been where you are so cancel that subscription and move forward, but If your still hesitant then give the two about two weeks of comparison and if you feel the WW outweighs the MFP then stick with it, however if you see you can benefit from MFP more so than with WW, cancel it!!!!0

Well ii know that WW has been very successful , and if you have friends there you probably have some comradely. At the same time if MFP is working for you, why pay for another service?0

Paying $250 a year to stay the same weight overall? You do not really need any of us to answer this question for you. If you follow what MFP says, you will lose weight, and it is free. Good luck on your journey.0
