I eat all night to stay awake, don't drink enough water usually, and am BORED at a desk most of the time... Anyone else deal with this? I try to drink coffee instead anytime I want a cookie or something, but then end up being dehydrated or in the bathroom constantly. I never actually get hungry but I eat because I'm bored or stressed. I've been trying to plan ahead, but it's hard to know when is a good time to eat. And sometimes I dont know where to end one day and start the next calorie wise. I usually will end it before I go to sleep...but sometimes I dont sleep

I work nights 7p to 7a. The way I handle calories and what day to count them for is that it's not a new day until I sleep. If I eat at 3 am Sunday morning I still count it for Saturday. You can pick any time you want for when your "day" switches over. Aside from that, night eating is no different then day eating. Calories and macros for the day/week are what determines results.0

The key to success is planning! I've worked nights for 6 years and this is the only time I've successfully lost weight. It is all because I plan my foods in advance, portion them out, and log them before I even go to work. Then I know whatever is in my bag for the night I can eat. Now I actually eat better at work than my nights off.0

I work the night shift as a cna. Don't over complicate things. Is it Friday? Count all your calories for Friday! When it's midnight, it's a new day. Eat whatever amount you want within your budget0

I am literally just coming off my night shift and I am beyond exhausted. I only ate 525 calories at 2.30am last night which is so incredibly little. At my 5AM "lunch" break I passed out at Costa Coffee so I didn't eat.
I'm going straight to bed when I get home.I will have trouble sleeping as I'm overtired.Yesterday I walked.jogged 9.5KM. i shall try and match that again later on today if I am well rested.
Anyone feel free to add me. I am another night shift tonight.Heaven give me strength0 -
What kinds of things does everyone eat? Things to help you stay awake..but not crash or want to eat a bunch of junk0

My roommate works 10P-7AM. When she gets home from work she eats an egg or 2. Sleeps until 3-4PM. Drink a pre-workout, gyms for 2 hours and then eats a dinner around 8PM that is usually a protein, vegetable and side (usually rice). She eats again around 3-4am, and she eats oatmeal and fruit usually.0

I should work occasional night shifts but they seem to be more often than my day shifts at the moment. This means that in the same week I could be on days and nights. It completely throws me as I can't get a proper sleeping/eating routine in place. I'm working 4 nights straight this week starting with a 12 hour shift tonight. My job can be boring during the night and I just sit in my office most of the time and I work alone. I tend to snack on chocolate as I convince my self that the sugar is keeping me awake. If anybody's got any hints or tips then I would appreciate them. I am new to working nights and struggling.0
