Beer or Wine?

I'm going to a Bachelorette party this weekend so I know that indulging in a few too many alcoholic beverages is bound to happen. I'm trying to smart about what kind of alcohol I have... would beer or wine be better?
I'm torn between either Pinot Grigio with club soda, or a light beer (thinking Bud Lite Platinum).. thoughts?

Wine with club soda? Just drink beer.0

If you're going to drink, you should just save room for the calories and drink things that taste good.
Light beer is an abomination as is drinking wine with club soda.
If you're drinking just to get drunk, I recommend shots. Otherwise, class it up a little.0 -
I will always take Beer over wine. If your looking to save calories Hard stuff is better. Vodka and cranberry, Capt. Morgans and diet coke...stuff like that!!0

I was just going to add the club soda to make more of a spritzer and make the bottle go little further.0

Beer beer beer beer beer beer beer! :drinker:0

Drinking light beer is a sin against Bacchus.0

They both sound completely disgusting as as such I don't think you should be allowed to drink alcohol. Your judgment while sober is clearly horrendous and I am reluctant to think about decisions you might make while inebriated.0

Oh. My advice above is probably wrong. Go for the watered down wine.0 -

Are you even old enough to drink alcohol yet?0 -
Drink whatever your heart desires. Its a bachelorette party! Just have fun and enjoy it.0

Agree with this. Hophead also has it right so my drinking is usually rum and diet. Or screw the calories, it's one night. Add some extra workouts the rest of the week and enjoy the party.0 -
I do a shot of Cherry vodka with a diet coke (roughly 69 calories per drink).0

Drink what ever you want, have fun. One night isn't going to make much difference.0

I might be in the minority here but I would vote that you go to the bachelorette and not be the annoying one that doesn't want to eat or drink anything, it's a special occasion, don't log into MFP that day...problem solved!0

Red wine, or a Sauvignon Blanc would be good. Seltzer and Vodka with lime or lemon. Just drink lemon water before and after and obviously plain water!! And dance your butt off!! Have fun!!0

Depends on how I feel and what I'm craving. I make sure to have enough calories either way. Sometimes I like to have Diet Coke and rum with a squeeze of lime (less than 100 depending on the pour).0

srsly? wtf?0 -
I agree with others that recommended enjoying yourself and drinking what you want on that night (I'm also in agreement that light beers are not so good... would much rather a craft beer, especially an IPA, personally!). You can always cut back your calories a bit throughout the day (and surrounding days) and make sure to get some good workouts in to offset damage.
If you do want to stick with the low calorie drink idea, this may come in handy!

WTF is wrong with you0 -
For the lowest calorie option, go with hard liquor and club soda. The flavored vodkas are pretty much the same calories as plain vodka.
For a spritzer (which I enjoy), use diet sprite or seven up instead of club soda. It'll be tastier.0 -
Both? It's a party, FFS.0

Cut her some slack dude, they can't control it during that time of the month...0 -
Vodka (plain or flavored), rum, or good gin with soda and a lime. Low calorie, not obnoxious, and will do the job.0
-
Beer...........it saves calories because it fills you up and you don't have to eat. Just drink more0
-
Even though it is light beer I would take that over wine, because wine tastes *kitten*. I would drink something stronger though...0
