These aren't my knees!

You know you've been fat for two long when your knees are just lumps of flesh with no definition, and you don't realize that knees can be anything but.
Last night, I was wearing shorts, stood up, and looked down.
Knee dimpling.
I can see some sorts of indents showing a knee shape instead of just fat lumps.
These aren't my knees.
Who stole my knees?

My husband and I used to call my shapeless legs my "mystery knees". Don't remember how that started, but I am sure that I started it. I still think they are a bit shapeless, but in my last 50 lbs. to lose I hope that the mystery is solved!0

Loved the knee comments ..
Today felt my abdominal muscles while swimming! May see them someday.0 -
My knees are making me pretty happy! They have bones in there, and when I bend them there's not a big fat pooch on the side!0

I love this post it so made me laugh. I noticed the other day whilst washing my hair that I had lost the fat off my head. You don't think about fat there but boy are there lots of bumps on your head.0

As soon as I saw the title I knew exactly what you meant! I still have a long way to go, but I can now really feel my knee caps and they are showing a bit - also my elbows are now actually pointy! My collarbones are now slightly visible and I can feel some other bones in other places I couldn't feel them before. Sometimes losing weight feels like a biology lesson about the human skeleton!0

I was never that heavy, but I was exercising today and noticed in the mirror that my saddlebags were gone. Not that I miss them, but it was a shock.!0

It gets more fun as you get nearer to goal - it's really tricky to shave your knees when they get all bony and knobbly.0

Alright, time for me to just stop shaving and become a yeti! Hope my hubby doesn't mind.
I can feel my sternum and collarbone too, and my fingers are getting thinner. Nothing about the fat globs that I REALLY want to disappear though. I want a smaller butt and stomach most.0 -
I was unfortunate to have chicken legs the entire time i was obese so I was like an apple stuck atop a pair of sticks. My big thing is cheek bones and hip bones ( well when i dont have my skin apron hanging over them lol) The one thing i don't like though after 20 years of being obese ,my xiphoid process ( the notch at the bottom of the sternum) sticks straight out (literally,) so now that i'm thinner its really pronounced and noticeable ( of course when something like happens you cant leave it alone either heheh)0

You go get your knees back! They are in there, I promise ;-)
My knees weren't my problem...but I now have a neck and collar bones!!0 -
I can totally relate about the knees. Right now all of my excess weight is from the tummy to the knees. I am looking forward to the day that I can look down and see my toes without having to lift my foot up. But until then, I will continue to walk and bike to try to get the weight off and everything toned up.0

hahaha I have the same thing!! Who stole my knees? :noway:0

I totally had this happen the other day. I looked down and saw knee caps! What?! I forgot those existed lol. Congrats girl!
ETA: The next step is your collarbones. I never realized how feminine it would make me feel to see those little babies again! By far my favorite part of this journey so far.0 -
Ohhhhh, I want it all. Knees, collar bones, elbows I can see.0
