Back arthritis

Hi everyone i suffer from facet joint arthritis. Its in my lower back, all the way up my spine and sometimes affects my shoulders. This sometimes puts a damper on my exercise. I miss exercising as i once did which was 45 mins and then the next time 1.5hrs. I know every ones pain level and arthritis is different but wondering what you find helps yours other than walking?! As in do you do chair exercises, perhaps videos on the internet you care to share etc etc.
Right now i am doing the Leslie Sansone walk at home videos. Up to 2 miles and cant wait to reach the 5 miles, although thats going to take a long time yet.
I hate having this chronic illness since on the outside i look fine, you would have no idea how badly i suffer. Also i hate how if you over do it say doing housework or going some where then you really arent up to exercising. Ugh!
But hoping to possibly find some new friends out there that are in the same boat to motivate each other. So feel free to add me or share your thoughts here.
Thanks :-)

I have a bad back, too, though not arthritis. Swimming seems to aggravate it less than walking or running. Maybe that would help you, too?0

I have arthritis in my spine too. I find that the more I exercise the better I feel. The only exception is that I can't do anything high impact, so no jumping of any kind. I do mostly biking, and some walking. Swimming would be good, but I don't have anyplace to swim!0

I have a lot of back problems, including arthritis. I am new to exercising with this, all I do right now is walk until I can see my doctor next month to discuss more. But I know swimming helps. Just being in the water takes weight off those spinal joints, easing the pain and allowing for easier movement
Also for pain relief- ice packs!!! They help me sooo much.
Also, try lying on your belly for 2-5 minutes a few times a day.
That's all I can think of right now. Anyone here can feel free to add me0 -
I agree on the ice packs! I make my own using gallon freezer bags and dish liquid. Nice big size, stays flexible when frozen, and stays cold for a very long time.0
