Pub Food

I'm heading out tonight with a friend of mine and we're probably going to hit up a couple pubs. I don't have a problem with the drink ordering (I've learned how to nurse a drink for an inappropriate long time hehe), but she mentioned she might want to eat there too. It's right at dinner time so I'll be hungry and will probably order something as well, but I have no idea what I should get that won't be covered in oil and salt.

I worked out today, ate sensibly all day, and have about 1500 cals left for my day.

Any suggestions on what I should get?

I would say eat a small salad before you go out so you are not too hungry when you get there and then maybe have a couple of sliders (about 500 calories), or if they offer shrimp (un-fried), that would be your best bet.

Grilled chicken sandwich with mushrooms and lettuce, minus the cheese and bun. That's what I had last time I ate at a bar and they gave me tons of lettuce to compensat and it was DELISH!!! You can drink all the unsweetened ice tea you want too, and that's nice and filling. I agree with whoever said to eat something before you go so you're not too hungry. Good luck!!

    Hey!

Check out the pub menu online before you go. You can have a peak and see what they have and perhaps make a healthy choice before you get there. That way, you don't have to open the menu when you're there an be tempted by other dishes (when the temptation is there).
