    Hi Coreen,

I understand your plight... I've just gone through 2 years of treatments for an illness that left me unable to walk without assistance :-(. Gained some weight for sure !!

Good news is, I'm in remission now and am excited to start lite exercise and diet. Though some of my maintenance meds make it a bit harder to lose weight, I'm still happy to be at this point in my health... But Waaaah so frustrating with the weight thing! Hang in there!

We'll get thru this together with faith, determination and patience!

glad to hear you are in remission :) x
its hard i my self is left with limited mobility after chemo and the drugs i am on ,i try and do light exercise but left in pain for the rest of the day, and happy to say i am 3 year cancer free but not in remission for a further 7 years but i am trying hard not to let the illness bet me, i put on 4 stone in a year arghhhhhh which breaks my heart for this is the heaviest i have ever been :(

but we will get there for sure

    Hi Coreen!

I'm nearing my second year of remission myself (though I think you had a harder fight than I did) and am STILL trying to loose the weight I put on during and after treatment.
I used to joke the only bonus to getting sick would be to loose weight, but it messed me up there too XP
Anyway, I'm finding that I keep hitting plateaus every kilogram or so, so its taken me this long to loose 2.3 kilos.
But the important bit is I AM making progress - try changing up your diet a bit (that helps me sometimes), and make sure you're not falling too short of your calorie count - if you do that, our bodies freak out and start holding onto everything it can get. I made that mistake in the beginning and gained nearly an additional 5 kilos =(
Just keep positive, eat good food and treat yourself well. You've already beaten worse "monsters" than a few pesky pounds.
    Cheers!
